My Kitten
I believe I
could watch you for hours As you frolic and play with such joy You’ve
possessed that mouse all morning And haven’t a
clue its a toy
You dive
under the furniture Chase through
every hall Attacking
anything moving In search of
your jingly ball
There are no
rugs still in place Where they
started earlier today But I’ll
gladly rearrange later When you
finally tire of your play
When you’ve
curled up on my lap And mousie
dreams are all that you see I’ll stroke
your silky fur with pleasure For, my
kitten, you are precious to me.
