Little Miss Mocha Latte

 

 

 

        Mocha is a Cat Happy foster kitten.  We believe she was born around May 10, 2010.  Her story: 

        On the morning of Tuesday, June 29th, my hubby was filling his gas tank and an animal control truck was parked next to his.  He kept hearing “mew, mew, mew” and saw a kitten in one of the cages.  He asked the driver what the story was with the kitten.  The guy said a woman had called and asked that the kitten be picked up and that it would be taken care of at animal control.  Jim asked what “taken care of” meant, and the guy said it would probably be euthanized before the end of the day.  Jim asked if he could have her and the driver said sure…the rest is history.  Upon arriving home, Jim snapped the picture below (click on thumbnail).

         

        Mocha has since visited the vet, has had all her shots and is a healthy, happy little kitten. She is very friendly, extremely playful, and a delight to have around.  She is adjusting well to other cats, so we give her frequent playtimes with others during the day. 

        On her first vet visit (July2), she weighed just 1 lb 6 oz.  As of August 5 she was just over 3 lbs and is growing like a little weed!
